If your child is a lover of ice cream, this hands-on Kids Ice Cream Class is the one for them! We can promise that they’ll learn some cool new skills and leave with a huge smile on their face.

Get ready for the best cooking class a child could dream of, our Kids Ice Cream Class!
After a warm (or icy!) welcome, the class will begin with an informative and fun demonstration on the ice cream and toppings the kids will be making. In this class we will be teaching a delicious custard base ice cream. Learning this type of ice cream will give them the knowledge of making a delicious homemade custard, which is a deliciously useful recipe to learn as it can be used on many other dishes i.e. Sticky Toffee Pudding or Apple Crumble.
After the demonstration everyone will then be teamed up into 2’s or 3’s, and then it’s time to get cooking!
Having made their ice cream, and prepped some oh-so-delish toppings to pour or sprinkle over the custardy creamy-goodness, the kids can finally create their masterpieces, with toppings of choice and then indulge at the school – no matter the time of year, as it is never too cold for ice cream!
Our Kids Ice Cream Class is open to kids and their parents, this is an ideal activity to either drop the kids off or all of you to join for a day of family fun making ice cream.

Age Restrictions – under 8’s need to be booked with a paying adult – everyone in the kitchen needs to have their own individual paid spot booked regardless of age
DofE Skills – As an Approved Activity Provider for DofE, we have a fantastic range of classes suitable to complete your Dofe Skill section. Our Kids Cooking Club (see more details by clicking here) was especially designed for weekly meetings to complete your award. Some people, who cannot commit to a weekly class, decide to combine this with some of our other Kids’ Classes which you can browse by clicking here, namely our Young Holiday Classes – for more details click here.
To complete the award, you will need to have the first and last sessions with us and at least 4 hours of tuition for Bronze and 6 hours for Silver. In between, you will need to practice and document your skills improving over the 3 months. After your last session with us, you can send us your documentation and our assessors will be able to sign off your award online.
